AROHIKA

Artist Statement:

I am an abstract impressionist painter. My travels have taken me to some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, and these experiences have deeply influenced my art. My paintings are a visual representation of the energy, movement, and light that I have encountered in my travels. I use a variety of techniques and mediums, including acrylics, pastels, watercolors, and ink, to create textured and layered works that invite the viewer to explore the depth and complexity of the natural world. My goal as an artist is to convey the beauty and wonder of nature through my paintings and to inspire others to connect with nature in new and meaningful ways.

I was first inspired to start painting as an adult, trying to manage my anxiety and find a way to cope with my migraines, and since then, I have been developing my skills and my unique style. I enjoy experimenting and rely on my own intuition to guide my creative process. I am constantly pushing myself to try new things and to push the boundaries of my art. I strive to create work that is true to my own vision and voice.

Living near Seattle has provided me with an abundance of inspiration. The natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, from the lush forests to the rugged coastline, is a constant source of inspiration for my work. I am particularly drawn to the colors and textures found in nature, and I often use these elements in my paintings to create a sense of movement and energy.
I am constantly seeking new opportunities to share my art with others, and I regularly participate in local art shows and exhibitions. I also take commissions for custom pieces, and I enjoy working with clients to create something that is truly special and unique to them. I am incredibly grateful to be able to pursue my passion for art.
