Lisa Kurt is an artist and illustrator living and working in Seattle, WA. Originally from Massachusetts, she received her BFA in Illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and an MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. Up until 2013, Lisa worked as a librarian before leaving the library field to pursue her art and illustration career full time. She has also taught as faculty at the Nevada Museum of Art. She has shown her work in Austin, Reno, New York City, Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Los Angeles and illustrated the children’s book, Sarla in the Sky.
